myp2p privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect personal data on myp2p, plus your rights under UK data protection law and how to contact us about them.

Last updated: 25 April 2026

myp2p ("we", "our" or "us") is an independent UK-based sports streaming discovery hub. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the myp2p website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The data controller for personal data collected on myp2p is the myp2p editorial company, registered in England and Wales. You can reach our data protection officer through the contact page by selecting "Privacy & data request" from the dropdown. We aim to respond to all data requests within 30 days, as required by UK GDPR.

What data we collect

We try to collect as little personal data as possible. The categories that may apply to you when you use myp2p include:

  • Browsing data: pages visited, broad geographic location at country or region level, device type, browser, and timestamp of your visit. This is used to keep myp2p reliable and to understand which fixtures are most popular with our audience.
  • Newsletter sign-up data: if you subscribe to the myp2p match-day briefing, we store your email address and sign-up date. We use this only to send the briefing; you can unsubscribe with one click in any email.
  • Contact form submissions: when you write to us via the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We keep this for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry, plus a short reasonable period for record-keeping.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the cookies section below for the detail.

How we use your data — our lawful bases

We process personal data on the following UK GDPR lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests for analytics that help us run a sensibly performing website, fix bugs, and understand which sports content is most useful to fans.
  • Consent for the match-day briefing newsletter and for any non-essential cookies — you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract / legitimate interests for handling your messages sent via the contact form.

Cookies on myp2p

myp2p uses a small set of strictly necessary cookies that keep the site running — for example, remembering your light/dark preference, or keeping your filter selection on the schedule page. We may, with your consent, set analytics cookies that help us understand which fixture pages are most viewed. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies, we do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising, and we do not embed third-party tracking pixels we have not vetted.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where strictly necessary to operate the platform — for example, with our email delivery provider for the newsletter and our hosting provider for storing the website. All such providers are subject to data processing agreements that comply with UK GDPR. Where data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement) are in place.

How long we keep your data

Newsletter data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a short period for unsubscribe records. Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months from your last interaction unless you request earlier deletion. Aggregate website analytics are retained for up to 14 months. Anything we no longer need is deleted or properly anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold on you, to correct it if it is inaccurate, to request deletion, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given. You may exercise these rights at any time via the contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you believe we have mishandled your data — although we hope you will give us the chance to put it right first.

Children

myp2p is intended for an adult sports-fan audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our data practices change. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any revision, and significant changes will be flagged in our match-day briefing newsletter. Thanks for trusting myp2p with your match-day routine — we take that trust seriously.
