About myp2p — built by fans, for fans

We are a small, independent UK-based team obsessed with making sports streaming feel less like a chore and more like a proper match-day ritual. This is who we are and what we stand for.

Where myp2p comes from

myp2p started, like so many good ideas, in a group chat. Three of us — a journalist, a designer and a coder — were all moaning about the same thing on a wet Tuesday in October: streaming sport from the UK had become annoyingly fragmented. Premier League rights here, Champions League there, NFL behind one paywall, NBA behind another, tennis split between three platforms, boxing pay-per-view turning every fight night into a maths problem. We loved sport, we hated the friction, and we figured we could build a friendlier hub for fans like us. That is myp2p in two sentences.

The brief we wrote ourselves was simple. Treat fans like grown-ups. Convert everything to UK time. Keep the design clean and the language honest. Recommend official rights-holders first because they fund the sport. Be transparent when something is restricted, and always offer a sensible alternative. After a few months of nights and weekends, the first version of myp2p went live, and the early community of users — mostly mates of mates from various five-a-side teams — started telling other people about it. The platform grew the right way: by word of mouth, in pubs, on club WhatsApps, by being recommended.

What we believe

We are an editorial product first and a tech product second. Algorithms can sort a fixture list, but they cannot tell you that a Tuesday Champions League knockout has more juice than a Wednesday one. They cannot tell you that the boxing card on Saturday is the better watch than the bigger-name card on Friday. That sort of judgement comes from people who actually watch the games, and that is the team we have built. We are unapologetically opinionated about the sport itself, and unapologetically neutral about which club, fighter or city you support.

We also believe in honest design. myp2p does not autoplay sounds at you, does not pop up newsletter prompts every thirty seconds, and does not bury the important information behind eight tabs. The site is built to load quickly, work on a phone in a pub, look right on a 4K screen at home, and behave properly with screen readers and keyboard navigation.

The myp2p editorial standard

Every live stream tile on myp2p is checked by a human before it appears. Every fixture is double-checked against the official league source. Every kick-off time is converted to UK time and adjusted for British Summer Time without you having to think about it. When something we recommend goes wrong — a stream goes down, a fight gets postponed, a kick-off shifts — we update the platform within minutes and explain what changed.

What is next

Lots, hopefully. We are building a personalised "my teams" feature so the platform can quietly highlight your sides first. We are investing in our blog so the post-match analysis can match the live coverage. We are exploring a community section where fans can share watch-along events. And we are always listening to ideas — if you have one, the contact page goes straight to a real human, normally one of the founders. Thanks for being here, and thanks for choosing myp2p.
